The Peak on Victoria Harbour

January 9, 2008

We woke up and traveled to Causeway Bay to meet with Aunt Shirley. We went to a building that was full of travel agents and purchased our tickets to Thailand!! We will be going to Bangkok and Pattaya for a 5 day journey. We will be leaving on the 14th and departing on the 19th. The cost per person was roughly $366.

Dim sum is great!! It only costed $147 HK to feed 5 people and that comes to about $19 CND! Food is fairly cheap here...I have not experienced the street food yet...and don't think I will be....lol

Aunt Shirley then took us to Victoria Peak where we were able to see the beautiful city of Hong Kong. We took a double decker bus up to the Peak, and the roads are crazy narrow and steep similar to the road up to Whistler. The bus would stop on sharp turns to let other bigger trucks pass to prevent an accident.

Below is one of the highest apartment buildings on the peak...I wish I lived there!

We then took the tram down, and Aunt Shirley took us onto the Star Ferry which took us over to Kowloon where we did some more shopping!

We then took the bus to Mong Kok and visited another mall. Apparently this mall is for the "hip and young" crowd. LOL

Thank you Aunt Shirley for taking us around Hong Kong :)
